Thank you so much to Hofsas House for the wonderful accommodations during our Carmel-By-The-Sea Vacation.
We had an amazing road trip through California this year which started with our first stop in L.A. Everything from the Hollywood Walk of Fame to the breath-taking Yosemite National Park. Every hotel we stayed in was great! But as we winded down our trip, we ended our vacation at Carmel by the Sea with Hofsas House Hotel.
The owner, Carrie Theis greeted me and actually had time set aside to tell about the culture, history and great things to do in Carmel-by-the-Sea. That isn’t something you see every day. She made us feel right at home and told us about everything this unique village had to offer.

If you are in a unique city, you want to stay in a place that reflects the same. That is why Hofsas House was the perfect place. We were right in the middle of all the sights and activities. So we were very excited!
The Hofsas House Hotel has a Bavarian influence throughout which goes along with the European feel of the town. And it is family owned and operated with 38 uniquely decorated rooms.
We have a family of five that includes 3 kids that are 10 and under. So we use up most of the space in a standard hotel room. But when we stepped into our room, my son looked at me and said this was his favorite hotel ever! And I can see why. We were in the family suite which had two very large bedrooms along with two full bathrooms.
The windows in our room were open so you could feel the breeze blowing through the room.
There was wine and cheese waiting for us in the dining area. There was also a mini fridge and a microwave.
Some rooms and most suites have fireplaces, private balconies, wet bars or kitchens like ours.
Each room has dutch doors and our cuties thought they were the coolest thing.
Other great features included dry saunas, view deck areas, free wireless internet access and the heated swimming pool that you couldn’t drag my kids away from.
After settling in, we headed out to town and the beach which was only a hop, skip and a jump away. There are so many things to do in Carmel-by-the-Sea.
Each morning the Hofsas House has complimentary breakfast delivered from a local bakery. So I couldn’t wait to go get us some pastries!
After that, it was another full day at Carmel-by-the-Sea. You can check out more on our vacation in Carmel here.
A couple other things to note is that there is no resort fee or parking fee at the Hofsas House. So if you are ever in Carmel-by-the-Sea, look no further than the Hofsas House for your stay. Here is more info on this beautiful hotel.
