I always tease my kids that I have one picture of my childhood and it’s rust-colored. That was way before rust was a cool filter on Instagram. Honestly, though I only have a hand full of pictures that encompass my whole childhood.  I believe the last birthday party for our youngest, my wife took 53 pictures. Needless to say, with smartphones taking over our lives, the quota for pictures has risen significantly.
Not only are we taking more pictures and videos, but they are all over the place. From laptops to smartphones, it’s hard to group them all together. We also save those precious moments in the cloud with the hope that they will be backed up forever. But there is always a possibility that they could be lost.
It’s a little stressful, to say the least. But recently we received a new device that has truly given our family peace of mind. It’s the ibi Smart Photo Manager. It literally solves many of the problems we were having with our photo fiasco.
One thing that really brings us peace of mind is that all of our photos and videos are stored on the ibi device. So nothing is in the cloud. Our precious pictures are with us.
Setting ibi up was so simple. I downloaded the app on my phone and connected to the device over our wireless network and within seconds, I was syncing my photos and videos from my phone to ibi. I also synced the pictures on my laptop by downloading the desktop app and then simply dragged and dropped my photos and videos. And just like that, my pictures and videos were all in one place. You can even collect photos and videos from Facebook, Instagram and Google Drive.
It was so simple to organize and make albums because the ibi app is so intuitive. I wanted to make an album for our time at the zoo the other day. So I created an album, picked my pictures and I was done.
Now with social media, it’s great to be able to share with everyone whenever you want and whatever you want. But there are moments in our lives that aren’t meant for everyone. Sometimes I just want to share a moment with my inner circle like family and close friends. I can do that with ibi. By sending an email to anyone I want in my inner circle, I can give them access to photos and videos. They can also share to the inner circle as well.
I also love that only one person in the inner circle needs the ibi device. So everyone else only needs the app to access or contribute photos and videos.
Picture yourself at a family reunion or birthday party and your family is taking pictures. There is no easy way to keep all of the photos taken from different phones in one place. That is unless you have the ibi app on your phone. With the app, everyone has access to every picture in one place. Now that is awesome!
I was really impressed that there are 2 terabytes of storage on the ibi smart photo manager. That’s up to 500,000 photos and 200 hours of video storage.
I think ultimately, ibi brings your inner circle of friends and family closer together by being able to share moments on a more private platform.
Our family really loves ibi! Trust me, you need this in your life. It’s also such a unique idea for a gift. If you go to meetibi.com, you will find more info on getting your own ibi smart photo manager.
