Do you get frustrated in the kitchen with complicated recipes that don’t even really have a payoff once they are cooked? If so, then do this one simple, delicious thing. Make ice cream bread. And all you will need is 2 ingredients. Yes, two. How could anyone say no to ice cream and bread, together? On top of that, you can make any kind of ice cream bread imaginable depending on which ice cream you choose.
I love recipes that are simple and versatile and ice cream bread is definitely one of those recipes. The one I made had cookie dough in it which I thought might not work. But my whole family was vying for any slice that had those scrumptious cookie dough bites. I’m sure you have a favorite ice cream. How about trying the bread version?
It’s so easy to make. This is how you make it.
Ingredients Needed:
2 cups of ice cream (s0ftened)
1 and 1/2 cups of self-rising flour (regular flour will not work)
1 tablespoon of sugar (optional)
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. Spray some Pam in the bottom and sides of an 8×4 inch loaf pan. Mix the ice cream and flour together in a bowl just until combined. Smooth it out so it looks even. Bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool for a while and then serve. Are you kidding me? It’s that simple.
There are a few things to note. This is bread. So it tastes much more like bread than ice cream. I put some butter on mine and it was perfect. You could add 1 tablespoon of sugar when you mix it to make the bread a little sweeter. Either way, this 2 ingredient ice cream bread is delicious!
