Here is a dessert that is not like a cookie, a brownie or anything I can think of right now.

It is our delicious croissant butter rolls recipe.

The closest thing I can relate it to would be a cinnamon roll.  And weirdly enough, my wife doesn’t like cinnamon rolls, but she loves these.  My kids were skeptical, but once they had a bite, they fell in love.  We finished a whole pan of these in a matter of a few hours.  Not many people know about them, but they are amazing.  So here is our recipe for croissant butter rolls.

  • Cinnamon
  • Sugar
  • Real butter
  • (1) Can of 8 croissants
  • (1) 12oz. can of  Milnot evaporated filled milk

Preheat your oven to 375 degrees and use a regular baking pan.

Spray the pan with cooking spray.

Add a heaping tablespoon of sugar to the widest part of the croissant.

Sprinkle plenty of cinnamon over the whole croissant.

Add one tablespoon of butter to the widest part of the croissant.

You then want to fold the thinnest part of the croissant over the widest part and tuck it under.  This is a little tricky.

Once that is done, you want to pinch the sides together that are open so the goodness doesn’t fall out.

Place them in the pan and then pour the canned milk over them.  You can put each roll together in the pan so you eliminate transferring them from one place to the other.  This also helps keep all of the sugar and cinnamon in the pan.

We ended up doing two cans (16) of croissants.  So we used 2 cans of the milk.

Put them in the oven for 32 minutes.  At about 16 minutes in, take a spatula and flip each roll over.  They will be floating and that is ok.

My daughter ended up helping me make these and she loved doing it.  She actually took over and I was designated the photographer.

You can always change out some of the ingredients for items that are more health conscious.  I didn’t do that obviously.  But to each his own.

Now, I used to make them with biscuits, but the croissants brought it to a whole other level.

Here is another great dish to try!
